Crimson Moon Bleed Build: Light Attack Gear and Boons

One button. Every Boon in it fires on a Light Attack, so the fast combo is also the whole engine.

Most builds ask you to alternate — Heavy to apply, Light to finish. This one does not. Every effect below triggers on a Light Attack hit, which means the cheapest, fastest attack in your kit applies Bleed, returns Mana, Marks the target, strips its armour and builds Rage at the same time.

Why these choices

Effects are quoted from the database, so you can check each claim on the page it comes from.

  • Ring of Sanguine Strike guarantees Sanguine Strike: Light Attack hits apply 250 Bleed. That is the first link — everything else keys off the target Bleeding or being hit.
  • Sanguimancer then pays for it: Light Attack hits against a Bleeding enemy recover 15 Mana. The Bleed you just applied funds the next Weapon Art.
  • Trophy of the Hunt guarantees Hunter's Strike — a 25% chance to Mark on a Light hit — and Graceful Strike recovers 1 Angelic Grace when you hit a Marked enemy with a Light Attack. Marking and cashing it in are the same button.
  • Sundering Strikes gives Light hits a 50% chance to apply Sunderance, and Sanctified Rhythm a 25% chance to gain Rage. Both roll on every swing rather than on a cooldown.
  • Axiom's Weapon Art is Bleed Projectiles — a homing projectile that applies Bleed — which is the ranged version of the same plan for whatever you cannot reach.
  • The Sanctus Zealot set bonus is the largest in the game's own table: 2.6 to each physical defence and 1.7 to each elemental one, against 0.78 and 0.5 for most sets. A build that wants to stay in melee range swinging is the build that gets the most out of it.

How to play this build

  1. Use short Light Attack sequences to trigger the listed effects. Break off when an enemy starts a counterattack rather than finishing a combo at any cost.
  2. Prioritize reliable Bleed application before taking a Boon that only rewards hitting an already bleeding target.
  3. Use the weapon's Art to cover a situation your melee combo cannot safely reach, then return to Light Attacks when there is an opening.

Where to start and what to substitute

  • Start with a one-handed weapon whose timing you know and the Bleed-granting trinket you own. Missing a listed random Boon does not require abandoning all of your gear.
  • If a sustain effect relies on kills, bring another recovery option for a boss encounter with no additional enemies.

Find equipment through exploration and mission rewards, then purify recovered gear at Sanctus Clypeus to make it available for future loadouts. Blacksmith upgrades are permanent. See gear and Purification for the progression steps.

When to change the plan

The effect descriptions establish the proposed synergy, not a tested damage ranking. Repeated Light Attacks still require safe openings and enough stamina to defend.

Make it yours

Nothing here is fixed. There are no classes in Crimson Moon, so every slot above is a choice you can change — and half a build is decided during the hunt anyway, at the Nexus Gates. Post what you end up running.
